A meter maid is arguing
with a wool suit and briefcase.
The ticket is a fuse is a wet

blank blanket covering
windshield thoughts. Words
spark curses, spark reaction;

lightening strikes a parking
meter. Cloudy fingers
release the confetti downpour.

Mailer Conference!


Just got back from P-town. Spent the better part of a week there for both the Norman Mailer Conference and some much needed writing time. I was involved with a reader's theatre production of MAILER'S POLITICANS. Above are the readers from Wilkes University who were involved with the gig. I had the chance to read Mailer's beautiful eulogy for Bobby Kennedy from Mailer's MIAMI AND THE SIEGE OF CHICAGO. It's amazing to think there was a time where we weren't jaded about our politicans. . .
