More Shows. . .


Hey all,

I am currently finishing my Master's Thesis in Creative Writing with Toi Derrioctte and have been insanely busy. I just did St. Marks last weekend--thanks to Amy Ouzoonian for putting it all together and everyone for coming out to the show!

Whether you're preparing for an open mic, a slam, or you just want to hone your performance skills, this is a workshop you don't want to miss! Jim will cover oral interp, techniques for improving your speaking voice, tips and tricks for memorizing your poetry, how to read the dynamics of a crowd and deliver the reading they want, as well as the myths and realities of poetry slams.

I will be joining fellow Wilkes MA in Creative Writing Students Marlon James, Donora Hillard, Jennifer Diskin, and Dan Burda for a reading/reception on Thursday March 9th in the Austin Hilton Ballroom @ 7pm. We will be there for the remainder of the weekend with our program, and our new partners--Etruscan Press.
